Omar brings with him a deep international knowledge of corporate finance, strategy and operations. Most recently, Omar co-founded and co-led the Cathay AfricInvest Innovation Fund (€110M). He began his career as a finance professional in the USA after completing his Bachelor in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting from Drexel University, where he was Captain of the Men’s Varsity Tennis Team. Omar was born and raised in Morocco, where he was a member of the Moroccan Davis Cup Team and a former ATP ranked player in singles and doubles.

Yassine brings with him a wealth of investment experience. Most recently, Yassine was an Investment Director at Bpirance Large Venture, a €1.75Bn growth equity fund. Yassine served on multiple Boards and prior to that was a consultant at L.E.K Consulting. Yassine completed his Master’s in Corporate Finance and Strategy at ESSEC Business School, and his MSc in Engineering from Ecole Centrale.

Sofia brings with her a strong experience as a CFO for startups, specializing in Series A fundraising and leveraging strong connections in Brazil and Latin America’s venture capital ecosystem. She has also served as CFO for multinational corporations and worked as a tax advisor at Ernst & Young in São Paulo. She holds a degree in Business Administration from Mackenzie University and a Master’s in Tax Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).

Rida brings with him extensive experience in product, innovation strategy, and business development, having worked with startups, corporates, and the public sector. He previously served as an advisor to H.E. the Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, where he played a key role working on strategy, policy-making and programs design to promote Moroccan digital economy. Rida pursued his education in Mathematics & Computer Science at Strasbourg University.

Renato brings with him broad entrepreneurial and operational experience, holding roles between East and West Africa at early-stage pan-African fund/incubator, MEST and most recently in North Africa with the Cathay AfricInvest Innovation Fund. Renato holds his Bachelor in Economics and Politics, and is a Committee Member at the Canada Africa Chamber of Business.

Zaineb brings 18 years of professional experience, including 7 years as an Office Manager within leading management consulting firms. She holds a DEUG (Diplôme d'Études Universitaires Générales) from the University of Economic and Social Sciences in Casablanca. Zaineb is highly skilled in administrative management and coordination, with a proven ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced settings.

Ismael Lahlou is an experienced finance professional with a strong track record in private equity and growth investing. He has worked on a variety of transactions across various industries with responsibilities ranging from financial analysis and due diligence to deal execution and portfolio support. His work has consistently focused on helping businesses scale and create long-term value. Ismael, brings both analytical rigor and a global outlook to every engagement. Ismael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Oumaima Laalou is a finance professional with strong expertise in financial planning, analysis, and corporate management. She has held roles across multiple industries, with responsibilities including group reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash and risk management, and investor relations. Her experience also includes supporting business growth initiatives. Oumaima holds an MSc in Corporate Financial Management from SKEMA Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from ESSEC Business School. She has gained international experience in Singapore and Amsterdam, further broadening her global perspective.

Ahmad brings hands-on experience working with early-stage startups across Africa, the Middle East, and North America, having supported and launched ventures in Dubai, Silicon Valley, and other key innovation hubs. Prior to joining Al Mada Ventures, he was involved in multiple entrepreneurial initiatives across these regions. Ahmad holds a B.S. in Finance from George Mason University and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Technology from UC Berkeley
